Lifting Clinic    Volume Lifting - Hyaluronoc acid filler

필러 리프팅 소개
Hyaluronoc acid filler
The basic and primary principles of face lifting and face line improvement are volume corrections, in other words, volume filling and volume reduction where are needed. Between the two, generally volume reduction is first procedure rather than volume replacement. After volume reduction, volume replacement is done using fat or hyaluronic acid fillers.
Permanent subcutaneous fat volume reduction using lipodestrucion method(not liposuction) make smaller, better good looking face and smoother face line especially in Asians. After sufficient fat removal, some people do not need volume replacement and if needed, ‘small’ volume replacement is enough. In conclusion, the people who want volume replacement using filler or fat injection need volume reduction using lipodestruction method first in the majority of cases.

The areas that need volume reduction are lateral cheek fat, nasolabial fat, inferior jowl fat, double chin fat, below ear fat. And the areas that need volume replacement are forehead, glabella, temple, below lateral cheek, nose, lips, etc.

After removing the subcutaneous fat, injecting fillers into areas that need volume (temples, Indian band, nasolabial folds, etc.) can create a natural face.
1The features of JD Clinic’s Procedure
• Cannula
we use various types of cannulas rather than needle generally because of safety and prevention of treatment marks (bruise, swelling). But in some cases, needle usage is inevitable.

• Long time procedures
we take long time during procedure due to safety, prevention of side effects, treatment marks and delicate correction.

• Abundant experiences and studies
The final effects of filler injections and satisfaction of patients mainly depends on the skill of doctors. Dr. Park has 10 years of experiences, very high satisfaction rates.

• Good products
We use proven product, for example, Amalian and Juviderm etc. Proven products mean that show least side effects (for example, immediate and delayed allergic reactions) and have longer duration of effect than other products. And please keep in mind that the results depend on the skill of doctors, not products itself.

• Hyaluronic acid fillers
We use only hyaluronic acid fillers and do not use new products until sufficient evidences cannot verify them.

• Local anesthesia with sitting position
We use local anesthesia with sittting position, not sleep anesthesia. Communication between doctor and patients is possible, so delicate and accurate results are possible.

2Temporary, Semipermanent, Permanent fillers
Pros and Cons of Temporary(Hyaluronic Acid) Fillers
• Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring polysaccharide and is a component of all mammalian connective tissues.
• The chemical structure of hyaluronic acid is the same regardless of species, so there is very little chance of an immune reaction when used as a filler.
• Trade names include Restylane,Amalian and Juvederm.
• There are no potential problems that can occur with the injection of permanent or semi-permanent fillers.
For example, if you experience undesirable cosmetic results after treatment with permanent or semi-permanent fillers, or if side effects such as childcare occur, correction may be difficult and treatment may be necessary.
• On the other hand, hyaluronic acid fillers are gradually degraded naturally, so there are no side effects of semi-permanent or permanent fillers, and they can be easily removed with hyaluronidase.
• The disadvantage is that although it is guaranteed to last for more than 6 months, the duration is relatively short, about 6 to 24 months.

Pros and cons of semi-permanent fillers
• There are two types, Polyacrylamide gel (PAAG) and Polyalkylimide gel
• Relatively long-lasting (1-2 years)
• Easy to remove early in the treatment if side effects occur.
• Possibility of serious side effects such as granuloma
• Long-term stability has not been established. The disadvantage is that there is a lack of evidence for stability and efficiency.
※ Semi-permanent fillers is not available at the JD Clinic.

Pros and cons of permanent fillers
• Made of Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), product names include artecoll and artefill.
• Lasts for more than 3 years and is mainly used on the face.
• Although it has been approved by the FDA, 21% of patients have reported side effects, including granuloma.
• As it contains collagen derived from animals, a skin test must be performed.
※ Permanent fillers is not available at the JD Clinic.

•There may be redness, bruising, swelling, and injection marks. These will improve over time.
•For about 3 weeks after hyaluronic acid filler injection, the filler will remain in a clay-like state and shape may be changed when pressure is applied. Therefore, be careful not to press the treatment area for about 3 weeks.
•Massage can cause the treatment area to become uneven or reduce the effect of the filler or shorten its duration.
•Delayed allergies and infections may occur. if you experience a lot of swelling or redness, please call or visit us immediately.
•After treatment, you will need to continue additional treatments every 6 months to 2 years to maintain the results.
